International Conference on “The Pandemic and it’s Reflections on Arabic Literature” on 27th & 28th
Dept. of Arabic, Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College, Pulikkal, conducted an International Conference on “The Pandemic and it’s Reflections on Arabic Literature” on 27th & 28th December, 2021 as part of the Month of Arabic campaign in connection with World Arabic Day Celebration.
Inaugural Ceremony of the conference held on 10.00 AM, 27th December, 2021. HE. Sheikh Badr Nasser Al-Anzi (Attache, Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, New Delhi) inaugurated the Conference in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Basheer K (Prof. in Arabic, Assam University& Former VC, University of Calicut). Dr. Sayyid Muhammed Shakir P (Principal, MUAC, Pulikkal) Presided over the Inaugural Ceremony, Inaugural Ceremony winded up with vote of thanks by Dr. Muhammed Basheer C.K (Asst. Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal)
21 Papers were discussed in the first day through 3 different academic sessions by professors and research scholars in Arabic language and literature. The second day of the conference, 35 research papers were presented by MUAC faculties, Research scholars and Students, through 3 different academic sessions, more than 100 students and research scholars from various colleges and universities attended the programme.
On 28th, Dec. 2021 at 4.00 pm, Valedictory session started with the welcome speech of Dr. M. Basheer (Director of the Conference, Associate Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal). Mr. PK Abdul Ghafour (Former Senior Journalist, Arab NEWS, KSA) inaugurated the session. Prof. Abdul Muneer Poonthala (Coordinator of the Conference, Asst. Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal) submitted Conference report, and Dr. Sabir Navas CM (Asst. Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal) presented the Conference Recommendations, The valedictory session came to an end by the conclusion of Dr. Muhammed Basheer. C.K (Asst. Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal).
The Online sessions started on 27th December, 2021 7.00 pm in Zoom Platform. Prof. Mariyam Belajeed (Assistant Professor at University of Sharjah) was chief guest of the day, 8 Research papers were discussed by various professors and scholars for Algeria, Morocco and KSA. On 28th December, 2021, Second day of online session started 7.00 pm, Prof. Hazem Danoon Ismail was the chief guest, and 11 papers were presented. The online Conference concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Abdul Muneer Poonthala (Coordinator of the Conference, Asst. Professor in Arabic, MUAC, Pulikkal)
