Curtain Calls: A Heartfelt Farewell
The English Club Annual Meet ’25, held on February 27, 2025, at the Seminar Hall, was a touching tribute to Prof. KP Abdu Rasheed, the principal and English Club Chairman, as he nears retirement. Hafsath Udumbra, the club coordinator, chaired the session, while Jannath Sherin presented a brief review of the club’s activities.

The English Club of Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College successfully hosted Lexi Logic: A Kahoot Quest, an online quiz competition, on February 5, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at the Seminar Hall. The event was skillfully anchored by Ilfa (Second Year, Afzal-ul-Ulama) and Aquila (Final Year, Afzal-ul-Ulama), who kept the audience engaged with their lively hosting. Teaching Wisdom Unveiled
A morning reflection with Dr. C.M. Sabir Navas, an inspiring interview conducted by Ayisha Aquila and Nabeel from Afsal Third and Afzal Second, respectively.The program was enriched with invaluable linguistic insights from Dr. Sabir. His voice, filled with wisdom, urged the new generation to develop high-level skills and a strong sense of dedication. He encouraged them to face greater challenges in order to understand and capture the pulse of the world, ultimately leaving their own unique mark upon it.
The English Club successfully organized Interface '24 on November 2, under the esteemed leadership of renowned linguist Mr. Assainar Tharakan. The event was honored by the presence of Professor KP Abdurasheed, the Principal, along with Club Coordinator Mrs. Hafsath, IQAC Coordinator Dr. CK Mohammed Basheer, and Librarian Mr. Raheeb T. The program, filled with engaging activities, was thoroughly enjoyed by the club members. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Nabeel Thennala.
The Vokabel Test, a vocabulary competition organized by the English Club on September 30th at 1:30 PM, was anchored by Sherin and Hanan from second PG. Group B, Muad and Musabbah from Afsal ul Ulama first semester, claimed first place. It was one of the most captivating events hosted by the English Club.
An engaging and thought-provoking discussion unfolded during Table Talk as selected discussants from the club debated the contrast between reel life and real life. The event was inaugurated by Professor KP Abdu Rasheed, whose insightful thoughts set an inspiring tone for the session. Dr. Sameer Mon expertly moderated the lively debate, guiding the speakers as they explored diverse perspectives. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the club coordinator, Mrs. Hafsath, whose remarks added a thoughtful and gracious touch to the event.
Vocal Masters Season 3, an English Club initiative for the 2023-24 academic year, debuted in July with Book Bob. The event featured three students from diverse disciplines sharing their favorite books, sparking an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.
The English Club's "Info Treat" was held on 29th June at 3 PM in the Seminar Hall. Inaugurated by the Principal, the program featured speakers discussing contemporary issues, with active participation from club members. The event was both engaging and insightful.
